Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies gave his verdict after Max Verstappen's opening lap crash at the Dutch Grand Prix. "The most important thing is that Max is okay," Mekies said. "Pretty big shunt." Verstappen hit the barrier hard at the banked final corner, spun back across the track and stopped. The medical car was deployed automatically and he climbed out unaided, telling his engineers on the radio that he was out of the race.
